Sixty-two GFDC coaches went through a structured SAG fitness battery covering endurance, speed, agility and flexibility.

On 15 July 2025, the Goa Football Development Council (GFDC) conducted a structured fitness evaluation for its coaching staff to assess physical performance across essential metrics including endurance, speed, agility and flexibility.

What was tested

Sixty-two coaches participated. The testing battery included the 1.5-mile Cooper run, push-ups, plank hold, squat test, the Illinois agility test and the sit-and-reach test.

The evaluation was overseen by SAG athletics coaches who applied official SAG fitness standards, with technical assistance provided by the GFDC team.

The assessment demonstrates the organisation's commitment to ensuring its coaches lead by example — maintaining peak fitness while training Goa's budding footballers.
