Policy

Content moderation & approval policy

This policy defines the workflow by which content is created, reviewed and approved before it is published on the Goa Football Development Council (GFDC) website.

1. Objective

All material published on this website must be accurate, current, accessible, and authorised. The moderation and approval workflow below ensures that no item reaches the live site without passing through a defined chain of responsibility.

2. Roles

Content Contributor
Drafts the content (a notice, tender, news item, page update). Responsible for factual accuracy and for attaching supporting documents.
Content Reviewer
Reviews the draft for language, completeness, accessibility (alt-text on images, heading hierarchy, contrast) and adherence to this site's editorial standards.
Content Approver
The Web Information Manager or an officer authorised by them. Grants final approval for publication and is accountable for the published content.
Web Administrator
Publishes approved content to the live site and records the publication date.

3. Workflow

  1. Content is drafted by the Contributor and submitted to the Reviewer along with supporting evidence (signed notification, scanned order, etc.).
  2. The Reviewer checks language, accuracy, formatting and accessibility. If changes are required, the draft is returned with comments.
  3. The Approver verifies that the content is authorised for publication and that no sensitive or personal information has been included by mistake.
  4. The Web Administrator publishes the content and records the publication date. A "Last updated" stamp appears on every page.

4. Standards every item must meet

  • Written in plain English (additional Indian-language versions are produced at runtime by the Bhashini translation widget)
  • Accurate, sourced and dated
  • Free of personal information that should not be public
  • Accessible: meaningful alt-text on images, correct heading order, no information conveyed by colour alone
  • Free of inline styles and third-party tracking scripts
  • Compliant with the Copyright Policy for any third-party material

5. Content that is not permitted

The following are not published on this site under any circumstances:

  • Anonymous content, paid promotions or advertising
  • Material that infringes copyright or other intellectual property rights
  • Personal data of citizens beyond what statute requires (for example, individual contact details, identification numbers)
  • Politically partisan content unrelated to GFDC's mandate
  • Defamatory, obscene or unlawful material

6. Reporting an issue with published content

If you believe that any content on this site is inaccurate, out of date, or violates this policy, please write to contact[at]gfdc[dot]in or submit the feedback form. We aim to respond within seven working days.
