Goa Football Development Council

The Goa Football Development Council (GFDC) marked its 13th Anniversary on 13th August 2025 at the SAG Athletic Stadium, Bambolim, with a day filled with blessings, camaraderie, and exciting football action.

The celebrations began with a Holy Mass and Puja, followed by a series of exhibition football matches featuring our dedicated coaches, centre heads, and staff.

⚽ Match Results:
1️⃣ Men’s Match – South Goa Coaches 🏆 defeated North Goa Coaches
2️⃣ Centre Heads vs GFDC Staff – Centre Heads 🏆 emerged victorious
3️⃣ Women Coaches & Centre Heads Match – South Goa 🏆 won against North Goa

Secretary Sports, Shri. Santosh Sukhadeve, congratulated all the participating and winning teams and extended his best wishes to GFDC on its anniversary.

Dr. Ajay Gaude, Director, DSYA, also expressed his greetings to GFDC on its 13th Anniversary. He stated that progressive development is planned through the Football Summit concluded last October and called upon everyone to work together for the overall development of sports in the state.

We are deeply grateful to the Government of Goa and the Honourable Sports Minister for their continued support in making GFDC a model for grassroots football in the country. As we look ahead, our commitment remains unwavering — to build a stronger football culture in Goa and ensure that the next generation of footballers shine on the national and international stage,” said Mrs. Fransquinha Oliveira, Member Secretary of GFDC.

The day concluded with a formal function, celebrating 13 years of GFDC’s tireless efforts in nurturing football talent across Goa.
